It’s been five months since starting 2:1 PT sessions and training via TrueCoach app and I’m stronger in ways that amaze me. More important than being able to lift heavier weights (though I can that too!) my body doesn’t hurt in the morning, I can easily sit on the floor and play with my kids, I’m noticeably stronger in my everyday, and I now genuinely enjoy moving my body. I started my healthier lifestyle journey with Michelle several years ago.
Michelle has shown me how dedicated she is to her work and in helping me and others reach their goals. Not only is she full of knowledge and energy around fitness and health but she takes it to another level investing the time in learning how and why the body works and how different environments can or may affect the body.
Michelle always asks how the body is feeling before we start a session and I love the way that we stretch before and after each session. This helps me achieve results from the bad ass sessions she puts together for me. I have never been disappointed with a session and Michelle has pushed me to places where I thought I would never had gone. I love the different skills Michelle has taught me around kettlebell play and my favourite animal flow. Michelle is particular in the way she teaches and I have appreciated her teaching me the correct technique from the beginning.
From the beginning I said that I don’t run and would never run and could not understand why people run. With some encouragement I entered a 5km fun run, with little to no experience.With Michelle's encouragement, guidance and support with running by my side for the full 5km I completed the 5km and now thoroughly enjoy running. This has been one of my highlight in my journey with Michelle.
Michelle is an inspiration to be around and continues to amaze me with workouts she puts together. Sometime I watch Michelle demonstrate what I am going to be doing and I think there is no way I can do that. It is reassuring that she believes in, has the confidence in you and can identifies my ability better than I can. With Michelle’s support and instructions I am able to accomplish whatever she puts before me. Michelle has shown me how to believe in myself and has helped build my confidence up through the different body movements and training.
This one is hard to explain but feel it is very important. Michelle has this vibe about her that she radiates. She is a person that you want to be around to learn what she is doing and attracts the same like minded people. She excites you about what you doing and makes you feel amazing after your workouts. Michelle has a way with interacting with people and making people feel comfortable within the gym individually, in group sessions and importantly within yourself.
Michelle takes the time and invests herself into her clients to ensure that the you get what you are looking for out of your session and in reaching your goals.
I am very happy where my fitness journey has and continues to take me.

Training with Mich is the highlight of my week! She is an inspired, focused and extremely knowledgeable teacher, no two sessions are the same and I have achieved real and rapid results, because my body is being constantly challenged. Even when it's a struggle, Michelle's humour and encouragement and the inspiration of her own fantastic self discipline drives me on. Completely love it, would do four sessions a week if I could! Best of all, other people have noticed the change in my body and my increased muscle definition.

I started training with Michelle because I wanted to get skinny. Not the right attitude I know but something that's all too common in women of my age. When we met, it was like something clicked. I wanted to be strong and healthy, not a twig. Michelle not only changed my mind set but how I look at exercise as a whole.
From educating me how the different muscle groups work to how to make an exercise work for me- she did it all, and she managed to make it fun in the process. She's very goal focused to what you want but she will get you there with all her expertise safely and in a healthy way.
Our sessions were always fun, crammed with a chat and some banging tunes, but she never let me get away without doing my best. I would really recommend her as a personal trainer and an all round great human.

I have been training with Michelle for nearly 3 years now. Over this time I have achieved things I never even knew I wanted to do! Her philosophy is about building strength and learning to move your body better; it is not about annihilating you and making you unable to walk the next day! But don’t be fooled - training with Michelle is tough!
Michelle goes above and beyond every session to help you progress or achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. She provides me with additional workouts to do at home, she tailors things quickly to suit how you may be feeling on the day and is always happy to let the kids join in if they want! She quickly learnt what made me tick, how to motivate me and how to encourage me to successfully lift things, carry things or try movements I wasn’t sure I could do – and we always have a good laugh and joke along the way!
I’m a busy mum to 2 young girls, juggling family life and work, but in the last 3 years prioritising exercise has just become part of my schedule and what I do. I am healthier, fitter and stronger than I ever imagined I would be, but more importantly I have developed real mental toughness and resilience because of training with Michelle and this is something that I use in every aspect of my life. My first taster session was on a boiling hot day in mid July 2015. We sat and chatted about aims/goals/lifestyle before venturing out for an assessment of strength/stability/range of movement.
Michelle is just so positive and encouraging. From my viewpoint there was some concern/embarrassment about lack of strength etc but I was encouraged to see those simply as a starting point, not the end. It simply gave us a base to work (upwards) from.
She became a cycling instructor at Fitness First at the slot I attended. She was so bubbly, energetic and encouraging. I am not one for testosterone fuelled gym blokes. I liked Michelle’s class and her approach. She spoke over a number of weeks of other classes/workouts she held before I plucked up the courage and took the plunge.
Michelle’s training has been everything to me. Strength and fitness to begin with. Michelle has been the first trainer to listen to what goals I have and tailor a programme to me, rather than simply roll out a general programme via a 1-size fits all.
Since this gave me trust in her I follow my program to the letter - which means I achieve better results. Michelle is always available to answer my technical questions. I report back after each session and invariably gets me encouragement in response, and so the cycle continues.
I like to think her positive attitude is rubbing off just a little!
In the past I was able to find a reason not to go to a gym session, now at the end of a long week I travel 25 miles the ‘wrong’ way just to meet her and get a session done. Chalk and cheese.
Mostly I enjoy the banter, the smile, the encouragement, the hard work and the sense of achievement.
Throughout my training I have been at a tricky stage of my like, Michelle knows why. She lets me speak, not speak, be angry or just work hard and remains resolutely positive, knowing when to make me work and when to listen. I cannot thank her enough. An amazing person.
